False. CO2 is worse than the methane from livestock. Also, the often forgotten CO2 from tilling soil for vegetables.

Methane is about 30 times as potent of a GHG, I'm not sure where you're getting your information. It's also going to get worse as permafrost melts, this is called a feedback loop.

Permafrost melt is a big issue. I wouldn't downplay that. I just dont compare cow farts to coal and oil plants and global transportation. The CO2 is worse in that case.

Oh for sure, I'd say that capitalism in general is pretty wasteful and damaging to the environment. Hard to do much about it as an individual though, we're a kinda destructive species

Increasing population -> more food demand though, and a lot of deforestation is due to livestock, so they have a compounding effect. Methane's lifespan increases as it's emitted, too

Which is why I am against any further investment in imfossil fuel infrastructure. Really the free market is already pushing energy to go green. It's cheaper to go green for power.
