2010d · memo.cash site status
Sorry, there were a few more site issues this evening, caused by some bugs in the memo code. Site should hopefully be stable now.

Why are you already sad? CSW said he would drag the war out for 2 years if needed. That is equivalent to this outcome, so was to be expected, was it not?

You cannot win a hashware before it has started.

Exactly, that's how astroturfing can indirectly affect the miners. That's why you see these scorched earth Narratives. They're trying to get ppl to sell/buy to influence mining.

In a few hours, we will see just how valuable BCH is to miners. Will it be defended against a raging alcoholic, or will it be left to the dogs.

Whatever happens, Bitcoin is evolving.
replied 2011d
I guess that fear of volatility is a driving factor here. As the BCH hashwar escalates BTC might trigger another fee event and bot trading acts on such data without understanding it.

Epic Bitcoin Crash

Today the price of bitcoin lost over 10%, it plummeted by $1000. Chris Karabats and I chat about possible causes and future price movements.

I'm currently working on a redesign of the identity manager to include wallet functions, so that I can showcase functions that relate to it without needing to rely on an external wallet for support.
replied 2011d
There are more than one way to handle that scenario. One could very publicly "sunset" (to use his own words) the systems and then lock them down.
replied 2011d
looks good. what framework is it in, can I have it for my Bu node as well?

Well apparently he wants to make BCH permissioned by the SEC. CSW litterally lost the plot.

You know what that doesn't help the BCH community? Exchanges like uphold that don't upgrade to the new Cash Address format. It took me 20 minutes to withdrawal my funds to a privatekey

The problem is not winning with hash power, is using it to attack other chains.

... project if they win with hash power. This doesn't mean they will win forever just because they do this time. Proof of work FTW!!!

How has not been specified. Just a clarification that they want pseudonymity only because anonymity enables lawbreaking and they want to build to cater to current law.

i agree. i think we need to do some optimizations before we lock the protocol. definitely agree with SV team that we should do that, but not before the timing is right.

As much as we hate it when it isn't for the team we root for, you r right. This is how the system should work. If it fails then so be it. May you have good fortune in the wars to come.

(cont).. implement DSV opcode as a miner-fee code so any use of it on ABC side results in miner fees and lots and lots of other things.

..while still claiming to "lock down" protocol.
