Would it be possible to reduce the size of the stored blockchain on mining and non mining nodes by creating redundancy between two other nodes?
replied 1746d
Actually, i wonder if a similar P2P system to OpenBazzar could be used to keep a platform operating with the Memo protocol immutable.
replied 1746d
At this rate however with 8chan, it will likely only be able to surface on the dark web.

How does BSV shed any more light on criminal activity than BCH or BTC?
replied 1782d
You didn't answer the question. What is SV doing differently to fight crime?
replied 1782d
BTC and BCH already have immutable trails of evidence. Does the SV chain somehow block coinjoin or cashshuffle technologies? If not than SV is no morally superior than BCH
replied 1782d
What is BSV implementing to stop criminal activity? Transparency? Government control?

BTC Bitcoin is transparent too, yet it's the most demanded coin in ransomware.

Cringe
replied 1786d
True, but it's more likely people will be more interested in using LTC, ETH or a stablecoin like USDC or Libra.
replied 1786d
I wouldn't be surprised if all this caps out at around 15k for BTC and then capitulates down.

Just saying...

Remember folks, if you must hold your value in BTC, you can do so on the BCH blockchain with BCH fees with BTC2 by Sideshift.ai

I do agree. It's just another way for businesses to dodge the value proposition of crypto by shoving all the hard work to website operators like Bitrefill to facilitate crypto users.

Only if i want to spend $4 fees on a $40 giftcard that is. Easier to swap to an altcoin like ETH or LTC and use that instead. LN channels are too expensive to manage without rebalance
replied 1786d
You can't afford to buy food with BTC. Big distinction. The network fees are too expensive to make this transaction economically viable. I can buy pizza on Bitrefill with BTC.

The one above for example was 391 satoshis.

A couple hundred actually. Mine trend from 226-400 something per memo, so that means with the amount i had i could make maybe 10-20 more Memo's.

No one is going to care about the world burning around them until they themselves catch flames. That's what it's going to take for the world to wake up.

I've seen speculation that the price jump is the result of artificial volume from Tether. Another bull run would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath just yet.
replied 1828d
Yeah, it's not letting me even do BTC LN to BCH anymore. Some kind of graph error.

Satoshi gave crypto potential. It's up to the world now to see if that potential is realized.
