I am using Electron Cash to send around 0.02 BCH but the fee is 50 cent. Why is that? When I send BCH from exchanges, from ledger or Coinomi usually the fee is less than few cents.

In coinomi, settings, transaction fee, and set to 0.00000001 BCH . Anymore and you over paying :-)
